Michael Clayton

No, that's not a typo. This is my 3rd movie where I've fallen asleep at the 52 minute mark. It's uncanny isn't it. Anyhow, I've always enjoyed watching George Clooney going back to the ER days and the Ocean's movies. I even enjoyed "Solaris" and "Syrianna" although I'm pretty sure I fell asleep through them too because I can't recall what happened in either movie. It's not like I don't enjoy the movies or anything. I actually enjoy watching the 2nd half of his movies as much as the first half before I fell asleep. Same situation here. It was an afternoon movie, which like I've said before, tends to keep me awake. And the first 30 minutes of the movie was pretty riveting. I've always liked lawyer movies ("Runaway Jury", "Erin Brock", "My Cousin Vinny," etc), and this one was the stereotypical lawyer movie - big bad company is being sued by innocent people, lawyer goes rogue, lawyer gets moral conscience, big bad company goes down in the end. Oops, did I just spoil the movie for you? C'mon, like you didn't know that already. This movie was just so-so. If you only had a choice between this and Good Luck Chuck at Blockbuster, go with George!
