IIIIII'm back and now I remember why I started this blog.  It's because I fall asleep through so many movies that I forget if I've watched a movie or not.  A couple of days ago, my friend Will, recommended this movie to me.  So last night, I started playing it, and kept going "Hmmm...I thought I've seen all Ryan Reynolds movies already.  Strange how I haven't watched this one. Especially since it's a 2008 movie."  So 5 minutes in, I was like hmmm this is strangely familiar but also new to me.  I then watched the IMDB trailer, and was like, "Yup, haven't seen this movie yet.  Sweet!"  So sure enough, 45 minutes in, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.  I then woke up and asked Francine a pivotal plot turning point and she refused to tell me what happened.  After waking up and falling asleep for the next hour and really only staying awake for the very end, I concluded the movie was enjoyable and wished I had stayed awake.  Today, as I was about to blog about it.  I see this -> http://moviesthatmademesleep.blogspot.com/2009/03/definitely-maybe.html

So Mila Kunis is hot.  And Justin Timberlake is funny.  However, I think JT tried too hard to be funny in the movie, like he does with his SNL skits.  I thought the movie was very cliche and you could predict the ending without having even watched a preview.  It did have it's funny moments, so this is one of those movies that you wait to Netflix.  I don't recommend you watch it with a "fwb" though because then you might have to have a conversation that you don't want to have.

So there was a lot of hype around this movie, and I'm a big fan of JJ Abrams and Spielberg, so I also had some high expectations for the movie.  Overall, the movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.  I just think this genre is overdone.  The best parts of the movie were the fat kid who was funny and Elle Fanning, who is just as good as her sister Dakota Fanning.  I think you can save your money and wait for the BluRay.  There wasn't anything "special" that warrants you paying $10 to watch it in the theater.

After watching a lot of crap movies, I decided to watch the 2011 Oscar winner.  I initially didn't want to watch it because I thought it'd be like typical Oscar winners where it's slow and no one appreciates it but old white men like Woody Allen.  Anyhow, I was very pleasantly surprised.  The movie was very enjoyable; I stayed awake the whole time, and it was funny too.  Definitely recommend this movie!

Finally.  A movie I enjoyed after watching so many duds.  Just a cute animated movie.  Recommended for all ages.

Man, I hate Seth Rogen movies.  What's worse than Seth Rogen... Cameron Diaz.  I didn't even know she was in the movie.  As soon as she appeared, I said to myself, "God damn it, there goes the movie."  And sure enough, she straight ruined the movie.  The movie was somewhat decent up till she came onscreen.  After that, it did a U-turn and I just went zzzzzzz.

Don't misunderstand here - just because I didn't fall asleep doesn't mean the movie was good.  This movie should have been made like 5 years ago.  I love Ben Stiller movies and the first 2 or 3 were actually very funny and enjoyable.  However, this one was NOT funny anymore.  And even eye candy Jessica Alba didn't help how bad this movie was.
