Secretariat

I don't care how inaccurate this movie was, I loved it.  I love all of these Walt Disney feel-good sports related movies like "Rudy," "Blind Side," etc.  I wasn't alive when Secretariat won the triple crown and can only imagine what it was like to have watched it live.  You know how you can tell a movie is good?  When you start researching online after the movie is over if the movie was accurate or not.  Although it wasn't entirely accurate, the movie was still very enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

My dad would have loved this movie.  Why?  It's because it's like a geriatric action movie.  Every star was over the age of 40 in this flick.  I mean, all they needed to do was replace Mary-Louise Parker with Ashley Judd, and it would have been like a senior citizen's reunion.  I didn't like how the movie started since it didn't really set up any background.  After an hour of unbelievable action (you know, bullets going through the heroes), I just zoned out and didn't really care after that.  If you liked watching these stars for 20 years, then you should love this movie.  Else, I recommend you just pass.

I enjoyed this Jackie Chan movie.  It's classic Jackie with the over the top stunts that he does himself.  I watched it dubbed and subtitled and found it funny that they didn't match up.  I wish I had watched it in its original Chinese dubbing and just subtitled.  Anyhow, if you're a Jackie fan, you should enjoy this movie.

I was looking forward to this movie since it was a Robert Rodriguez movie and Jessica Alba was in it.  Immediately when I started the movie, it was "oh oh" because I realized the director made the movie like a 70's style movie with the old school graphics and fake blood splatters.  I also didn't have subtitles for the movie, so I didn't know what was going on when they were speaking Spanish.  And even Jessica Alba didn't add anything to the movie.  Therefore, by the 1:10 mark, I had enough of the movie and just skipped through the rest of it.

This movie was one of those quirky comedies where the dialogue is what makes the movie funny.  I thought it started out great.  John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill were very funny, and I thought Marisa Tomei was perfectly cast.  Then by the one hour mark, things started to get awkward and weird.  It just got uncomfortable to watch, so I just zoned out.

I think you all know what this movie is about already, so I won't go too much into the plot.  I was looking forward to this movie until I realized it was nearly 2 and a half hours long.  That's just too long for a 'chick flick.'  However, the movie was great until she flew to India.  For some reason, after that, it was just too much for me, and I decided to zone it out.  The movie was just becoming too indulgent and melodramatic.  Seriously, if you watch this movie, stop it at the 1:10 mark, and you'll think it's a great movie.  I did love Julia Roberts in the role though.

This is an older movie from 2007.  It's another scary Halloween based movie.  However, it was probably one of the scariest movies I've seen in a while, and definitely one of the best Halloween movies.  The movie is about 4 separate plots that is interwoven and converge at the end.  You should watch this in the dark, on a big screen, with a surround sound system.  The first 15 minutes is the best part of the movie, but the rest is also very enjoyable.  Recommended!

I didn't like this Shrek installment.  It felt like it should have been a TV or direct-to-video movie.  The plot is basically Shrek missing his single ogre days, runs into Rumplestiltskin and makes a wish where he could go back in time.  The movie didn't really progress Shrek's life.  It was a "what-if" movie.  The movie was still slightly funny if you're a Shrek fan, but if you don't watch it, you're not missing out on much.

I've never seen the anime, but it had to have been better than this.  Man, this movie was just awful.  I fell alseep 15 minutes in, woke up at 30 minutes, and fell asleep again.  I eventually woke up at 50 minutes and decided it wasn't even worth taking a nap to.  Stay away from this one!

This movie reminded me of "In Bruges" where the movie is set in Europe, and it's basically a drama/thriller.  Clooney plays a guy who is hired to make a gun for an assassin.  Sure, it sounds interesting, but it's a very slow movie with minor action here and there, just like "In Bruges."  If the movie didn't star Clooney, it definitely would have flopped.

I've been a fan of this series for a while now, and this one didn't disappoint.  I didn't watch it in 3D, and I'm sure it would have made it a little better, but overall, I still enjoyed the movie in 2D form.  This one is the 4th installment; it continues where the last one left off, where the entire world has been infected with zombies except for a few survivors.  Also, it's been 8 years since the first one, but Milla Jovovich still looks hot.  And even Ali Larter looked good too.  Just a mindless fun 90 minutes.  I recommend if you've watched the entire series like I have.
